Just received an email from Tomas Holst talking about some 'Exciting News for Great Managers' (obviously I didn't think it was for me!!)..... I was then directed to this link.....

Not thinking of buying it myself, but just want to check that it isn't a scam and inform people if it is to be wary. A more trusting person may get drawn into the power of O3's in a easy to get at resource.
Anyway If anyone knows anything please come back.

I also got it. And I too think it's a scam.
It does not redirect to the Manager Tools website. It's from someone I've never heard of here at MT and the logo it's using resembles nothing like the MT here.
I'd advise people to not react to that mail until someone from MT chimes in.

I'm sorry. I handled that email poorly. It is NOT spam; Tomas sent the email on my behalf. Clearly, I didn't think through the consequences of hearing for the first time from someone other than Mark, me, Maggie, or Wendii. BAD decision on my part.
And thank you for raising your concerns here ... spam and scams are real issues these days and I love that the community is looking out for one another.

I also assumed a scam
I think one of the problems is that it's also from a different domain - that's usually the key tip-off for a scam, that the domains don't match or are suspicious.
The links all direct to "list-manage.com" or "campaign-archive.com", not even the new domain. Also, "Initially, we are using Sweden as a test market", yet I'm not in Sweden.
Glad to know it's not really spam, I was one of the accounts caught up in the recent Gawker hacking, so am on heightened alertness until I change all my addresses.
