Personalized Stationery

I've been doing thank you notes for a while -- but on the $10 box of cards from the local Hallmark. When should someone get personalized stationery? What should the determining factor be for the amount of money to spend on said stationery? Thanks, connick.

We're going to come back to this with a specific recommendation early in 2007, looking at quality with a sensitivity towards cost.

The sooner the better on when. Go to a stationary store, rather than on Office Depot/Staples. You don't need the nicest paper, and you don't want the cheapest.

Is the cast going to be early enough in 2007 that I should wait to buy? I'm not in a huge hurry, but I don't want to be caught in too many more situations w/ the Hallmark special.
