The Love Speech

For many years at our Effective Manager Conferences, Mark ended the day by giving what we came to call, "The Love Speech." Love matters in managing others. Here it is, for the record, for those who never got to hear it in person.

When we first started delivering our Effective Manager Conferences, Mark ended the day by giving what we have come to call, "The Love Speech." We don't do it very often anymore, but we get requests periodically for it. While you can find it at the end of our book, The Effective Manager (both editions), we thought it would be appropriate for you to hear it as well. And now it's captured for everyone in our community to learn how important it is to care about those you lead. To be a truly great manager, we must infuse our Manager Tools with love.
